These reflections come from a lived life: family, marriage, fatherhood, grandfatherhood, teaching, coaching, music, faith, nature, aging, mistakes, victories, disappointments, illness, joy, loss, wonder, and the ordinary ups and downs of being human.
At the heart of them are the old questions:
Who are we?
Why are we here?
Where did iUniversia come from?
What are we supposed to do with the short time we have?
Some people answer through faith. Some through science. Some through philosophy, music, nature, service, or silence. Some do not feel the need to answer at all. Michael understands this lovingly.
Even now, with telescopes looking deeper into space and artificial intelligence entering the human story, we are still asking, revising, discovering, disagreeing, and wondering where humanity may be going.
That is not failure.
That is part of being human.
